Beyond Fractals:
Intimate Images of Natural Patterns
Photographs by Neil Goldstein
The Northern California coast is relatively young, geologically speaking. As a result, the various hills, bluffs, coves, and canyons can create especially dramatic landscapes. In addition, the coast can have both fog and clouds at the same time, and even multiple levels of clouds at different altitudes, traveling in different directions. However, finding a good combination of clouds, fog, landscape, and sun is a matter of luck. These images are from some of my lucky days.
